In cases where the participant cancels their enrolment in a course offered by Adam’s Boat Course as an Approved Training Provider of Maritime Safety Victoria, they will be offered a full refund of any monies paid so long as the cancellation is notified at least 72 hours prior to the commencement time for the course. The cancellation MUST be made in writing by email or text message as these are time stamped.

If the cancellation is notified less than 72 hours prior to the commencement of the course the Chief Executive Officer may offer a refund, less $50 per person from the amount paid by each person who is cancelling. If you don’t attend a course you are booked in for or you do attend, but leave for any reason your course fees will be forfeited.

In cases where there are extreme or extenuating circumstances requiring a participant to cancel less than 72 hours before the commencement of the course, the participant is encouraged to explain their situation, and to provide evidence if possible, to the staff of Adam’s Boat Course. This will assist in making a case for special consideration. If your reason is medical, you MUST provide a medical certificate.

There are no refunds for training already attended, whether partially or fully attended, regardless of whether the student was found successful or not successful and regardless of whether they have been issued a certificate of completion or not.  This includes where the student discovers later they did not need to attend the Marine Licence Training.  It is the student’s responsibility to check with VicRoads whether they already have a valid boat licence or not.

To be considered for the opportunity for re-booking into a different course were a re-booking fee is applicable, the booking MUST be made and training completed within 2 calendar months of the original booking or all fees are forfeited.
